whilst in sainsbury’s whilst buying salmon, the gent next to me said how much is that leg of lamb?
i just said £26 and the server looked at me and said how ? £26.90
thinking about it, i look at the price of legs of lamb, my dad did like leg of lamb and then it was like £6.50-£7.50
although awhile back, currently £15’ish
i just thought like £26, how ? no idea, but thinking about it maybe twice diameter and sq root 2 and a bit, i ended up with £26

Leg of lamb pricing. An arbitrary figure may be a Freudian slip… the absolute price you subconscious self would pay… period.

Such knowledge from the buying public would quickly cause the asking price for any commodity to instantly spike to the max. Next time your inner subconscious decides to speak, push the mute button. Allow the price to hover around market value.

To be fair, a smoked pork’s leg is double the price!

As far as I know the Jamon Serrano is not smoked but salted, like the italian Prosciutto di Parma.

Forgive the attempt at translation. No cooking is involved, so for all intents and purposes, you’re eating raw meat, just with a lot of salt. At least then you can have your pudding.

I just read the Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prosciutto
to discover that Presunto is the same as Prosciutto yummm……
And that salted Cod is Baccalà in italian!

If you knew Brits, you wouldn’t go where they live: god knows why you’d want to not see the sun or eating foreign (non british) food everyday.

No, you’d go where the brits have vacations. Hint: there’s Presunto and beaches.

I’ve been 3 times and never wanted to leave. Yes, it can get cold. Yes, I t can be hot & humid (and the train rails can warp) but, wow, is it beautiful. Be sure to visit my ancestors’ castle: https://www.nts.org.uk/visit/places/crathes-castle
