Look at their past. They bought Sprint and ended up laying off a huge bunch of employees and it’s still struggling.

Interestingly, the article says this happened partially as a result of the Brexit vote, because the value of the pound dropped by over 10%, against the Yen.

They have said no jobs will be lost in the UK. I suspect a lot of revenue and TAX will be though. The designing may well continue in Cambridge but I think the IP Licencing will be sold from a another country. So ARM Bermuda will sell the licencing to ST/Broadcom ETC the real profit will be made there. They will pay ARM UK enough to cover ongoing development costs. Most of the income and profit and TAX Revenue will be lost to the UK Exchequer. The government will spin it as foreign companies investing in the UK though.
